In Copenhagen, Lorena Høiberg Puts the H in Hygge

I’ve been to Copenhagen two times--the first time, for a two-day visit before departing for a cruise, and the second time, for a one-day visit after returning from that cruise. On both visits, my family and I were guided to the best that the city has to offer--and all at bargain prices, thanks to Clever Chica extraordinaire Lorena Høiberg. We first met her at the downtown tourist information center, where she guided us to the best value with the Copenhagen Card. The Mexico native speaks fluent English, Danish, and Spanish, and my family and I were most impressed as she spoke Spanish and Danish to her colleagues around her as she worked to get answers to what must have seemed like endless questions from me, my family, and the throngs of eager tourists crowding up beside us during our conversation. Put simply, Lorena’s an impressive example of Copenhagen at her best. As we disembarked from our cruise ship at Ocean Quay, guess who was waiting to give directions at the kiosk nearby? Our dear Lorena, who was smiling and happy and--perhaps the most clever detail--she remembered us somehow amid the sea of faces she helps and guides with kind, gentle patience each day. A citizen of the world, Lorena wins the Clever Chica prize in bustling Copenhagen. Lorena puts the H in Hygge for sure!
